Repeat Prescriptions

If you are taking regular medication you will have been given a computerized repeat prescription slip to order further supplies of medication. Please either post this slip to us or place it in the repeat prescription box situated just inside the main entrance.

If you have lost or mislaid the repeat prescription slip, please print your request clearly on paper remembering to include the name and strength of the medication you require, your full name, address and date of birth.

You may fax your request to the surgery on 01234 871323.

PLEASE ALLOW 48 HOURS FOR REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS TO BE PROCESSED (Mon-Fri)

The Dispensary at the surgery can issue prescriptions to those patients who live more than one mile from a chemist and who are registered on our dispensing list.

Note that the online ordering is for REPEAT PRESCRIPTION ITEMS ONLY - We can not process additional requests for any medication not included on your repeat template

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
